Paris Perfume Week 2026: A spectacular third edition at the Palais Brongniart

From April 9 to 11, 2026, Paris Perfume Week reached a decisive turning point.
For its first edition held at the Palais Brongniart, the event drew 11,780 visitors over three days. Both its impressive scale and the diversity of its attendees have confirmed its status as a premier fixture on the international fragrance scene.

Key Figures

  • 11,780 total visitors
  • 56% general public / 44% professionals
  • 22% international visitors
  • Over 1,000 retailers and buyers
  • 180 exhibitors and partners
  • 50 conferences
  • 5 expositions
  • Près de 80 événements hors les murs dans Paris

A pivotal edition, driven by a broader and more international audience

Driven by the exceptional momentum currently seen in the fragrance industry—particularly within the niche and creative segments—Paris Perfume Week confirms more than ever its central role in the contemporary olfactory landscape.

With 11,780 visitors welcomed from April 9 to 11, 2026, the event has fully confirmed its transition to a larger scale. The overall breakdown of the audience (56% general public / 44% professionals) reflects the unique DNA of Paris Perfume Week: an event capable of bringing together, within the same space, the entire perfume ecosystem and a particularly engaged audience of enthusiasts.

This professional dimension was particularly intense from the very start: 58% of visitors were professionals on Thursday, followed by 45% on Friday, before a Saturday more broadly oriented toward the general public, with 28% professional attendance. This attendance pattern illustrates the event’s dual vocation: serving as a business and trend-setting platform at the start of the week, and transforming into a major cultural and experiential gathering as the weekend approaches.

With over 1,000 retailers in attendance throughout the event—alongside distributors, buyers, journalists, content creators, experts, perfumers, institutions, and other key influencers—Paris Perfume Week confirms its unique position in the industry’s international calendar.

Another strong hallmark of this edition: 22% of visitors were international, confirming the event’s growing appeal well beyond French borders.

The Palais Brongniart: A new showcase for Paris Perfume Week

This 2026 edition marks a major turning point in the history of Paris Perfume Week. By taking over the Palais Brongniart, the event fully embraced an emblematic landmark of Parisian heritage, transforming it for three days into a true international crossroads for the perfume industry.

With 180 exhibitors and partners, 50 conferences, 5 exhibitions, and a remarkably dense program, Paris Perfume Week 2026 showcased the full richness and diversity of the perfume world: from creation to raw materials, and from technical craftsmanship to cultural, artistic, and contemporary issues.

The exhibition spaces and conference rooms saw a continuous flow of attendees, with presentations drawing packed houses throughout the entire event.

Behind The Scent, one of the major new features of 2026

Among the highlights of this edition, Behind The Scent established itself as one of the major new features of 2026. Conceived as the first forum dedicated to careers and training in the perfume world, this new initiative—supported by L’Oréal Groupe—brought together some twenty key players: fragrance houses, schools, manufacturers, designers, and other professionals committed to knowledge sharing and talent development.

This initiative perfectly illustrates the ambition of Paris Perfume Week: to create a dialogue between passion, culture, knowledge sharing, and industry development.

An entire city mobilized around olfactory culture

Beyond the trade fair itself, the “off-site” program solidified Paris Perfume Week’s presence throughout the city. With nearly 80 events across the capital—including boutique animations, workshops, guided tours, meet-and-greets, conferences, and evening parties—the event successfully promoted olfactory culture far beyond the walls of the Palais Brongniart.

Paris Perfume Night, held on Friday, April 10, brought together 20 boutiques along the Rue Saint-Honoré. These participants showed remarkable commitment and attracted several hundred visitors.

A more open, diverse, and international perfume scene

This third edition also strongly reaffirmed Paris Perfume Week’s mission to better reflect the diversity of contemporary perfume scenes.

With The Colors, the event highlighted an unprecedented representation of multicultural perfumery. Meanwhile, the notable presence of the Chinese Village confirmed the growing interest in Asian scenes and paved the way for the Asia Perfume Show—a new event conceived by Nez, set to take place on September 24 and 25, 2026, at the Bastille Design Center.

A digital reach matching the event’s scale

Whether on-site or online, the enthusiasm matched the scale of the event. The 2026 edition also saw a significant boost in its digital visibility, confirming Paris Perfume Week’s ability to resonate far beyond its physical location. For several days, social media echoed with hundreds of posts, testimonials, and spontaneous shares, vastly extending the on-site experience.

A leading platform for contemporary olfactory culture

Supported by major partners such as Amouage, which championed the Smell Talks, and Firmenich, associated with the launch of the very first olfactory travel guide, Paris Perfume Week solidifies its role as a crossroad for industry leaders, innovative editorial formats, education, and the thrill of discovery.

In just three editions, Paris Perfume Week has firmly established itself as a leading platform, uniting creativity, education, business, culture, and a shared passion for fragrance.

The 2026 edition will be remembered for its spectacular growth in scale, matching the ambition set by Nez: to champion olfactory culture in all its forms, throughout Paris and far beyond.

Scented Sunday : Buona notte Milano, bonjour Paris, by Thomas de Monaco

While scrolling through a LinkedIn notification, we came across a post written by Thomas de Monaco, the eponymous founder of his fragrance brand. Barely recovered from the buzz of Paris Perfume Week, he wanted to share his impressions of a lively trade show—at times a bit cramped—full of both charm and flaws, yet endowed with perhaps its greatest quality: being unmistakably Parisian. Moved by the spontaneity of his text, we asked Thomas if we could publish it on our website, to which he immediately replied, “Sorry for the bad words!” We found them entirely fitting, on the contrary.
