Could you briefly introduce your brand?
The “organ” in Organ Tale refers to the olfactory organ, as well as the perfume organ where perfumers combine scents to compose new fragrances. Since I started my career in perfume industry as a distributor, I could meet many brands, the world’s best perfumers and F&F (flavor and fragrance) companies. Based on my previous experience, I want to introduce many perfumes with storytelling. As fairy tales were enjoyed by many people, we hope many perfume lovers enjoy Organ Tale with the fragrances.

In your opinion, what makes it unique?
In many aspects we can find the unique characteristics of Organ Tale Parfums. One of those is that I have never seen perfume brands provide the long stories as Organ Tale does. When I showed each tale to my employees, many of them were against my idea. They thought that my idea was unconventional but I thought it was unique. I think the perfume is more enjoyable with background knowledge such as history and philosophies in the perfume industry. When we provide the contents with fragrances as much as we can, we can maximize customer’s satisfaction.

What key moments are you planning during the Grasse Perfume Week?
The first thing I think is most important and what I am planning to do is to develop ways for visitors to enjoy our brand, Organ Tale, in the most enjoyable and memorable way possible. Secondly, I visit historical places related to perfume to get inspiration.

What does the city of Grasse, the cradle of perfumery, mean to you?
Grasse means the root and basis of modern perfumery production. This is my first time visiting Grasse and I will exhibit Organ Tale Parfums at the first Perfume Week there. I feel like going on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and I am proud of exhibiting my brand among famous global brands as a Korean perfume brand.

Has the city played a role in your journey or in your brand’s creative universe?
Actually, I am very inspired by Grasse after studying the history of the city. I already finished the draft of an interesting tale but I will not tell you at all. Hirohiko Araki, the author of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, once said, “If you have something to say, say it through your work.” We aim to reveal more details at Grasse Perfume Week next year, along with a new fragrance.

What are your expectations regarding your participation in our event?
Organ Tale is expected to receive a lot of attention from visitors as it will be the first Korean perfume brand to participate in Grasse Perfume Week. In addition, since it will be the first time that a new Korean brand is exhibiting, we expect many people to come to our brand booth out of curiosity and smell the fragrances.
