We once ran a neighborhood café in Shanghai for over a decade. Guests would often say, “More than the coffee itself, what I love is this place — the soft background sounds, the inviting aromas, the warmth and buzz.” Then cottee grew out of a simple thought: what if you could take the scent of a café with you?

Founded in 2016 by three designers in Shanghai, handhandhand began with a shared love for fragrance. The brand’s first product line, scented candles, stemmed from their daily habit of lighting candles. Over time, the brand expanded to include scented wash products, perfumes, and more, always focusing on the connection between fragrance and aesthetics.
The name “handhandhand” originally symbolized the union of three designers, akin to “three hands playing together.” As the brand evolved, this name took on deeper meaning—“hand” is not only a tool for creation but also a medium that connects life and the senses. From creativity to craftsmanship and execution, handhandhand embodies a refined “tactile aesthetics,” transforming everyday moments into fragrant experiences.

“Tianle Voice From The Sky” is an independent perfumer brand established by the second-generation perfumer Tianle in 2019. Tianle seeks to draw inspiration from different artistic and cultural backgrounds, showcasing the limitless spatial sense and imagination in scent creation.

Launched in March 2025, this free, bilingual (English/Mandarin) biannual magazine dedicated to olfactory culture is distributed at each edition of Notes Shanghai. Its ambition is to bring Chinese readers an olfactory culture that is both accessible and intellectually engaging.

Launched in 2016, Nez, the olfactory magazine is the flagship of Nez’s editorial production, offering every six months a wide range of content dedicated to olfactory culture in all its forms.
Published in both French and English, it is distributed in France and worldwide through bookstores, concept stores, independent perfumeries, and online.
While perfume—from plant to bottle—is a central theme, the magazine also explores all areas of life where our sense of smell plays a role: art, health, science, through an approach that is at once analytical and critical, anthropological and historical.

Niche by Nez, the leading magazine on independent perfumery, explores every aspect of a rapidly expanding global market. Published annually in both French and English, this bilingual magazine offers a comprehensive overview of niche perfumery through special reports, brand and fragrance profiles, and features on raw materials.
