LA VILLA FRAGONARD
This elegant late 17th-century bastide, surrounded by a magnificent garden, houses a collection of works by the famous painter from Grasse, Jean-Honoré Fragonard, as well as his family members—his son Évariste, his grandson Théophile, and his sister-in-law Marguerite Gérard.
A celebrated artist of gallant love, Fragonard painted in the 1770s a decorative cycle titled The Progress of Love intended for the Château de Louveciennes, residence of Madame du Barry, mistress of Louis XV. Since the paintings did not please the royal favorite, Jean-Honoré installed them about twenty years later in the grand salon of this bastide, then owned by his uncle Alexandre Maubert.
Today, splendid copies of these 14 panels adorn the walls of the salon, arranged according to the layout imagined by Fragonard.
In the stairwell, visitors can also discover a remarkable neoclassical decoration in grisaille and trompe-l’œil, which the painter created during a stay at his cousin’s home in 1791.

Villa Fragonard will be dedicated, for the duration of the event, to the Grasse-based company Robertet, a major partner of Grasse Perfume Week 2025!

PARTNERS VENUES
By presenting a Grasse Perfume Week ticket, you can also visit the International Perfume Museum (MIP) and the Gardens of the MIP (in Mouans-Sartoux)
The International Perfume Museum
Just steps from the Palais des Congrès, the International Perfume Museum (MIP), a public institution labeled as a “Musée de France,” offers visitors the chance to explore the history and uniqueness of the craft practiced by industry professionals and the great perfume houses. A true testament to the international technical, aesthetic, social, and cultural history of the tradition of scent use, the museum approaches the history of fragrances from an anthropological perspective, covering all aspects: raw materials, manufacturing, industry, innovation, trade, design, and uses. It presents this through a wide variety of forms, including works of art, decorative arts, textiles, archaeological artifacts, unique pieces, and industrial designs. The MIP website
The Gardens of the International Perfume Museum
Centifolia rose, jasmine, tuberose, lavender, geranium, broom, orange blossom—perfume is born first and foremost from plants, whether local or from afar. In the unique setting of the Gardens of the International Perfume Museum, visitors can discover and smell the species that have supplied perfumery with its precious raw materials for centuries. Beautifully located in the heart of the fields where perfume plants have traditionally been cultivated in the Grasse region, the Gardens of the International Perfume Museum are part of the regional project led by the Communauté d’Agglomération du Pays de Grasse. They serve as the museum’s conservatory of perfume plants, a natural space that preserves the olfactory landscape tied to local agriculture. Fifteen years after their opening, the Gardens of the International Perfume Museum have been awarded the “Remarkable Garden” label. As part of the partnership signed between the Communauté d’Agglomération du Pays de Grasse and the League for the Protection of Birds (LPO), the Gardens of the International Perfume Museum have committed to becoming an “LPO Refuge” to help promote wildlife on the site.
