Atelier Des Ors was founded in 2015 by Jean Philippe Clermont with a demanding, independent, and creative approach. Gold, exceptional materials and craftsmanship, and a curious view of the world are his golds, his guides. While Jean Philippe’s sources of inspiration are many and come from a rich and eclectic background and culture, they all converge in a quest for Beauty and Elegance elevated to an art of living.

The Atelier, now located at the Villa Primerose in Grasse, the cradle of perfumery, is a place of transformation, creation, and craftsmanship where the realm of possibilities opens up.

Like an artisan’s seal, the seahorse, a symbol that is both familiar and strange, marks all his creations and forms a link between gold, perfume, and memory. It is both the hallmark of 24-karat gold for the Paris mint and lends its name to the part of the human brain that plays an important role in memorizing smells, colors, and emotions.

Atelier Des Ors draws endlessly on these golds, like so many vectors to a multitude of elsewhere, and constantly renews their power to inspire wonder.
