Founded by Saudi perfumer Sara Dahlawi, Maison Dahlawi blends art, travel, and elegance to craft rare perfumes that evoke universal emotions.

Could you briefly introduce your brand?

Maison Dahlawi is an independent perfume house founded by Sara Dahlawi, a Saudi- born perfumer who graduated from the Cinquième Sens perfumery school in Grasse. Raised in a family of merchants and inspired by the arts, she found in olfactory creation a profound way to express emotion, memory, and culture. Each fragrance by Maison Dahlawi is crafted as a work of art—an ode to a place, a moment, or a muse.

In your opinion, what makes your brand unique?

Maison Dahlawi stands out for its deeply artistic and emotional approach to perfumery. Our creations tell personal stories, inspired by travel, inner journeys, artistic figures, and forgotten traditions. We work with noble and rare ingredients to create perfumes that touch the soul. It is perfumery rooted in emotion, storytelling, and refinement, where each bottle reflects a singular identity and honors exceptional craftsmanship.

What key moments do you have planned for Grasse Perfume Week?

We plan to showcase our current fragrance collection in a sensory and immersive setting, including an installation around our “scented bells,” an artistic format currently in development.

A highlight will also be Sara’s participation in the roundtable led by Claire Lonvaud (Passion Nez) on July 3rd at 4:00 PM, where she will share her experience as an independent brand founder.

What does the city of Grasse, the cradle of perfumery, represent for you?

Grasse represents the living heart of perfumery—a mythical place, a source of inspiration, and a symbol of legitimacy. It embodies the heritage, passion, and above all, the savoir-faire recognized by UNESCO as part of the world’s intangible cultural heritage. For us, Grasse is a collective memory of scent and a symbolic milestone in our journey.

Has the city played a role in your career or your brand’s creative world?

Absolutely. It is in Grasse that Sara received her training in the art of perfumery. The city played a key role in her transformation from art lover to olfactory creator. Its unique  atmosphere, rich history, and transmission of know-how have left a lasting imprint on the creative and emotional universe of Maison Dahlawi.

What are your expectations for your participation in our event?

We see Grasse Perfume Week as a valuable opportunity to share our vision, connect with passionate and creative individuals, and present our work to a curious and discerning audience. It is also a chance to strengthen our presence in the niche perfume world through an event that celebrates boldness, authenticity, and exceptional craftsmanship.
